A finished kitchen remodel by JSR Construction

Remodeling & additions

Make the house you have the one you wanted.

Kitchens, baths, whole-home renovations and additions across Tallahassee and the Florida Big Bend.

What we take on

From one room to the whole envelope.

Kitchens

Layout changes, cabinetry, counters, lighting and the plumbing and electrical behind it all.

Bathrooms

Primary suites and guest baths — tile, glass, vanities, and waterproofing done to last.

Whole-home renovations

Older homes taken down to what's worth keeping and rebuilt properly.

Additions

Extra bedrooms, primary suites, bonus space — tied into the existing structure and roofline correctly.

Outdoor living

Pavilions, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and covered decks that actually get used year-round. See them below.

Stalled projects

Someone else started it and disappeared. It happens. We'll tell you honestly if we can finish it.

Commercial — selectively

Most of our work is residential, but we do take commercial projects and build-outs when they fit. Call and ask.

Before & after

The same house, twice.

A full remodel, start to finish — what we walked into, and what the owners live in now.

Outdoor spaces

The room everyone actually ends up in.

Poolside pavilions, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and covered decks — from stained cedar trusses to white cathedral ceilings and marble hearths. Built to the same framing and finish standard as the house they sit behind, in materials that hold up to a Florida summer.

Remodeling FAQ

The things people ask first.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?

It swings hard on scope: whether walls move, whether plumbing and electrical relocate, and what you pick for cabinets and counters. We ask your budget range on the questionnaire so we can tell you on the walkthrough what's realistic instead of after the design.

Can I stay in the house during the work?

Usually for a single-room remodel, rarely for a whole-home gut. We'll be straight with you about it before you commit.

Do you handle design, or do I need a designer?

Tell us on the questionnaire which stage you're at — just exploring, have ideas but need help, or have plans ready. We work with all three, we just approach them differently.

Will you finish a project someone else abandoned?

Often. Pick that option on the questionnaire and describe where it stopped. We'll look at it and tell you honestly whether it's salvageable.

How soon can you start?

Depends on the current schedule and your scope. That's why "how quickly are you looking to move" is one of the four questions — it lets us slot you honestly.

Four questions, about ninety seconds. Then we come look at it.
